Your gift will directly impact our ability to provide opportunities for diverse audiences who hold a broad spectrum of viewpoints to learn alongside us. Some examples include:
Discovery Series
A curated series of events that focuses on compelling topics and people and features multi-disciplinary issues. The first series in 2024-2025 examines technology, science, and public policy with a focus on AI, organized in partnership with noted tech journalist Kara Swisher. Guests have included now-former Open AI CTO Mira Murati, Meta’s Yann LeCun, and AMD CEO Lisa Su, complemented by our faculty.
Authors & Insights
In-depth discussions with popular authors and thinkers. Featured authors have included Johns Hopkins Agora Institute Director Hahrie Han on her book Undivided: The Quest for Racial Solidarity in an American Church, New York Times journalist David Leonhardt on his book Ours Was the Shining Future: The Story of the American Dream, Carlos Lozada on his book The Washington Book: How to Read Politics and Politicians, and Katie Rogers and Anita McBride on the evolution of the role of the first lady.
The Bridge
Designed to showcase dialogue across difference and progress over partisanship, The Bridge series features bipartisan congressional duos discussing pressing issues on which they have found or are seeking common ground.
Arts & Culture
Cross-disciplinary arts and culture programming that entertains, as well as reflects and interprets, our society. In addition to art exhibitions at the Irene and Richard Frary Gallery, the Center offers public music and dance performances by the Peabody Conservatory, the Stories That Matter film series, and other humanities programs.

The Irene and Richard Frary Gallery
The Irene and Richard Frary Gallery is the Hopkins Bloomberg Center’s free public art gallery presenting rotating exhibitions drawn from the university’s collections and special exhibitions born out of partnerships with leading museums and collections.
